Melissa Gilliam md, MPH
Research expertise: contraception for young people, sexual health education, sexual health knowledge and access for Black and Latinx youth, social and systemic healthcare issues for adolescents
Dr. Gilliam is an adolescent gynecologist whose research at Ci3 is focused on understanding the sexual and reproductive health needs for young people of color, specifically Black and Latinx adolescents and young adults. This includes examining their behavior, attitudes, knowledge and access around contraceptives, STI/HIV prevention, teen pregnancy, and other related matters.

Lee oversees our healthcare policy research where she examines reproductive healthcare restrictions for adolescents and young women.
